Mr RUPERT PARSONS B.D.S., D.G.D.P., M.Sc.F.Od.
I have worked for the majority of my career here in Malvern. I am passionate about education and have played a keen role over the years mentoring new graduates and training dental nurses. Marie-Claire and I were among the first dentists in the county to achieve the Diploma in General Dental Practice. We went on to lead a study group to support colleagues to pass the examination. In 2003 I was awarded an MSc in Forensic dentistry and now work closely with local police forces, family protection and the coroner.
I have sat on the Local Dental Committee and Oral Health Advisory Group for Worcestershire for many years. In practice I especially enjoy treating those patients who present with head, neck shoulder pain, identifying the causes and resolving their symptoms.
Outside dentistry, I am a business advisor for the Young Enterprise Scheme and help at Malvern St James, and prior to that at The Chase Technology college. I enjoy tennis and the social facilities at the golf club!
We regularly holiday in the Lakes where we love the outdoor activities.

Mrs MARIE-CLAIRE PARSONS B.D.S., D.G.D.P., D.P.D.S.
I qualified at the same time as my husband, Rupert, from Birmingham University in 1987 and have spent the majority of my career working in General Practice. I work part time in practice and also one day a week as the Dental Tutor for Worcestershire, arranging postgraduate education for the dental professionals. I sit on the Oral Health Advisory Group for Worcestershire alongside dentists from all specialties and regions.
I have completed several postgraduate qualifications over the years. I especially enjoy treating nervous dental patients, using a variety of relaxation techniques. I also enjoy caring for the older members of our community, including providing home visits. I also like to encourage patients to maintain a healthy eating lifestyle, good oral hygiene practices and giving up smoking.
When I am not working, I try to juggle the activities of 5 children and a busy husband. I enjoy playing tennis and swimming in an attempt to keep fit. |
