At Buckingham House we pride ourselves in providing the best cross infection procedures to protect our patients.
However regulations are likely to be introduced by the Care Quality Commission that will require that all dental practices in the future will have to comply with 'Best Practice' protocol. One of the major requirements is that all sterilisation of instruments will need to be carried out in a central area within the practice.
To embrace these changes we are about to set up a large central decontamination room within the practice, similar to hospitals. This will involve a large investment so that the six surgeries within the practice will have all their instruments sterilized to the future recommendations, with state of the art sterilization equipment by a specially trained member of staff.
Once this is set up later this year, we will be front runners in putting the safety of our patients first.
